Synopses & Reviews

From Powells.com:

The first publication of the Lewis and Clark Journals occurred one hundred years after the first entry. Jefferson had the original Journals deposited at the Philosophical Society (where they remain today.) Reuben Thwaites was chosen to edit the publication for Dodd Mead. One thousand copies were printed in 1904-05, in three editions. This copy is the large paper edition in which two hundred numbered copies in fourteen parts and an atlas were printed on Van Gelder handmade paper with Karl Bodmer prints. Sue, Powells.com
