First edition thus. Three quarters red morocco tooled in gilt, marbled paper over boards; spine titled and decorated in gilt, with a pictorial leather onlay tooled in blind. Top edge gilt. Marbled endpapers. Illustrations by Arthur Rackham throughout, including 40 tipped-in color plates and numerous black & white plates and text illustrations.
Exterior rubbed. Upper joint with a 3cm crack near the tail. One plate with a chipped lower left corners. Very good condition.
