Death for the Phantom Receiver

Death for the Phantom Receiver Cover

Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

The New England Patriots have moved and the Phantoms are the new NFL team in Boston. Its new stadium is on the Rumney Marsh in Saugus/Revere, and dark and lonely death suddenly stalks its receiver corps. When a speedy and highly gifted wide receiver is drafted by the Phantoms out of a Florida college, it is discovered, all the way back to high school, that any receiver ever slated to play ahead of him had an unsure future, if any. Strange calls come in the night, strange but age-old lures are put into action, and death comes in a variety of ways to team wideouts, youngsters or veterans alike and those newly acquired in trades. The owner of the team enlists the help of former BPD detective Harry Krisman and defrocked judge Kell Thorne, a private detective duo operating out of Boston's Prudential Building. They've teamed up for justice in several escapades, the first being Vigilantes East.
