For artist Sharon Pitts, painting with watercolor is a passion. When she first discovered the lush transparent tones of watercolors in 1970, she knew that she had found her path in painting. She studied Plastic and Graphic Arts at the University of Illinois in Chicago and supplemented that study with courses at the Pennsylavinia Academy of Art and the Barnes Foundation. As a watercolor teacher at The Montclair Art Museum in New jersey, she continues to discover new ways to work with the medium as she teaches others.
