About the AuthorRichard J. Lapierre currently serves as Director of EMS with University Health Services at Brown University. He is reponsible for the supervision of an advanced life support EMS unit with four full-time ALS supervisors and 105 BLS student volunteers. Lapierre also teaches EMT-Basic and EMT-D courses to Brown University undergraduate students.
