Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Indefinitely, a poetry book based on postmodernism expressions. There are two sections. First section related to poemism which is derived from modernism. The interpersonal relationships changes from the past to the current time. Its casual relantionship with the philosophical world; the societal family's. The global financial sea that is constantly enlarging, a separation from the whole within the new pluralistic scenario. The actual abstract universality that is experienced and the cause of this abstract universality. Postmodernism and its internal organization, defining the behavioral limits of the society. Finally, the god of spaces that has been defined by postmodernist authors in societal analysis books with totalistic reasoning. The second section, postpoemism derived from postmodernism and meaning the aftermath of the poem. The poem starts from the middle and, in a way that destroys totalistic reasoning, flow with the poet and the nut man figures with abbreviations that may be figures or inventions and or potpourri transitions. Without a definite start point, it ends with its subject within the text in a way that shows art for art's sake. All this study emphasizes the role of internal migration, and simulates the loss of meaning in the media and the social life of masses.

Synopsis:

Sonmez presents a poetry book based on postmodernism expressions.

'An abstract map defining the behavioral limits of society'
'Very interesting! It is one poem developed in a kind of 'reflexion' between the author (thoughts) and the nuts man (no thoughts at all). The first part of the book (with blank pages in between) are related with the proposal of the poet: the daily things that happen to people but translated to a vicious circle (the car that is fixed but after a while broke down again or the sick person that go to the doctor for one thing and keep it going undeterminated). Also, subjects such as physics, technologie, literature and art esthetics are presented as society values. In the second part the blank pages are fulfilled with 'pieces' of the first part that are mixed toguether keeping the 'values' in a very far perpective'....
