Kathy Reichs would appear to be one of the busiest authors out there she's a forensic anthropologist, a teacher, and she writes books, too! And, Reichs's career mirrors the life of her main character, Dr. Temperance Brennan. In Grave Secrets "Tempe" is in Guatemala on special assignment to investigate a mass burial site. Things get out of hand with the government when she's asked by local police to look into a current case. Though some of Reichs's subject matter is really, well, yucky, she presents things in such a way that I'm intrigued to read more (not grossed out) and left yearning for her next story.
