Synopses & Reviews

Review:

"Drawn in a cartoonish but nuanced graphic style that manages to balance both hilarity and emotional depth...a convincing, absorbing and satisfying fictional portrait of post-college life in mid-1990s New York City." Publishers Weekly

Review:

"[A] salute to comics, an exploration of the human condition, and a solid, absorbing, and riotously snide tale about at least half of the things that make life important..." Tasha Robinson, The Onion AV Club

Review:

"Robinson's expertly crafted characters are as complex and full of surprises as any you'd find on prime time. He also knows how to spin a yarn, keeping the ongoing story, well, going, while providing rich rewards for even casual readers. (Grade: A)" S. A. Bennett, Comics Buyers Guide

Review:

"Compellingly voyeuristic...problems of dead end jobs and roommates could be boring as hell, but Robinson spins it into an engrossing saga without being melodramatic..." Beth Hannan Rimmels, Long Island Voice

A fat graphic novel by the same author as Tricked. In some ways, I preferred this to Tricked -- I think Tricked has a tighter plot and better pacing, but the characters in Box Office Poison feel much more like real people.
