Publisher Comments:

Something stopped Nita's hand as it ran along the bookshelf. She looked and found that one of the books had a loose thread at the top of its spine. It was one of those So You Want to Be a . . . books, a series on careers. So You Want to Be a Pilot, and a Scientist . . . a Writer. But his one said, So You Want to Be a Wizard.

I don't belive this, Nina thought. She shut the book and stood there holding it in

her hand, confused, amazed, suspicious--and delighted. If it was a joke, it was a great one. If it wasn't . . . ?

All of the young wizards series are spectacular. Alot of people think that they are rip offs of Harry Potter, but they were written and published before Harry Potter, so they can't possibly. I'm sorry to all of you Harry Potter fans, but I like this series better. In this particular book, Kit and Nita are on vacation when they come across a new wizardry(big surprise) The reason I like this book so much is becuase it is very final, for Nita, at least. She understands the horror of what she has agreed to (will not tell you what, in case you haven't read it yet) and even though she is scared, she is brave enough to put others before her. Duane really lays on the tension.

So far, this is my favorite of the series. Maybe I was just unusually emotionally vulnerable when I was reading it, but I found myself tearing up more than once while I was reading this -- it's very emotionally powerful and Duane doesn't pull her punches.
