Another terrific book by Laurie R. King. The first one I’ve read in her Kate Martinelli series. Several plot lines, all of which were very interesting, especially when she becomes close with her partners stepdaughter, who eventually gets kidnapped. It's really very good. Kate is a lesbian and it’s treated really as a byline, no big deal as it should be, and her characters are so clear and likeable that you really feel like you are in their world instantly. She is a favorite author.
