About the Author

Christopher Tilghman is the author of two previous works of fiction, the novel MASON'S RETREAT, and the story collection IN A FATHER'S PLACE. He is the recipient of numerous writing awards, and his work has appeared in The New Yorker and Best American Short Stories, among other places. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife, the writer Caroline Preston, and their three sons.
