Publisher Comments:

Welcome to The A-List, a wickedly funny and risquT paperback original novel that takes readers behind the scenes of the intoxicating world of Hollywood glitterati. Seventeen-year-old Upper East Side blueblood Anna ("pronounced Aaaanah") Percy is on her way to Beverly Hills, California, where she'll live with her estranged dad for the rest of the school year while her mother travels to Europe with a friend. On the plane, Anna drinks too much champagne and gets hit on by record producer Rick Resnick. Luckily Princeton student Ben Birnbaum is there to save her and he invites Anna to famous actor Jackson Sharpe's wedding, where Anna meets the cast of rich and famous characters who are soon to be her classmates at Beverly Hills High. The fast times of Beverly Hill's most beautiful and glamorous people drive the page-turning action of this juicy new novel.

Synopsis:

This hot, page-turning novel is the first of a new series that explores the scandalous lives of rich and famous young adults in Beverly Hills.

Synopsis:

You Know You Love Me: "A highly enjoyable speedboat of a read, zipping along at lightning speed, leaving adolescent angst, wounded egos, and Manolo Blahnik mules in its wake." -Kirkus

I got this book from the library because it sounded interesting, and I love GOSSIP GIRL and INSIDERS. This book didn't fail to hold my interest. I couldn't put it down and finished it within a day. I proceeded to purchase the rest of the series and am so glad I did. They are thought-provoking. The main characters may appear superficial, but they are actually complex and educated.

I've been going through books like underwear lately searching for one that would meet my educated teenage interests. This book did the job. I immediately went to my nearest Waldenbooks store and bought the rest of the series. Zoey Dean uses such intellect while writing this book.

Most People think Gossip Girls and A-List Novels are innapropriate and promote innapropriate behaviors but I believe they give a sense of encouragement that not everyone is perfect. I believe that they are appropriate for the 13-up age group because when teens enter the"Real World," they won't be as shocked by the life styles. These also show what can happen if you get "involved" to early. There is definitly a reason that they have the words THE #1 NEW YORKS TIMES bestselling series on the front cover. I love these series and I hope that people stop acting like people that read them will turn out really bad and be... yeah ya got the pic.
