About the Author

E L James is a former TV executive, wife and mother of two based in West London. Since early childhood she dreamed of writing stories that readers would fall in love with, but put those dreams on hold to focus on her family and her career. She finally plucked up the courage to put pen to paper with her first novel, Fifty Shades of Grey.

Once I started this trilogy I had to finish. It was addicting to find out the end result. This book by far was a harder one to get thru, mostly due to the patience of waiting for the details to come out. In the previous books there have been hints towards Christian's past or what caused the helicopter to crash, but you assume that they will be wrapped up in this book. Of which they are, it just doesnt happen right away nor all at once. There is a dragging point, but as soon as you make it thru the dragging point, all the things you want to know just start flowing. If you are truly only reading this series for the sex scenes, this book will not be for you, the author does not give the same focus to them as in the First book, details are not as deep, as well as being repetitive.

I loved this series for the fact that it fulfills the fantasy that most women/men dream of but do not say aloud. Women can all realate to wanting a rich handsome man to have that strong of interest in us as well as spoiling us. We can even slightly relate to Ana's curiosity with Christian's sexcapades... Men can relate to having the power that Christian has and the sexcapades... and even somewhat the sheer pleasure of protecting their lady the way Christian does with Ana.

I will be reading this series again.

in the end ana and chris are happily married with jobs, one son and a girl on the way
chris was opening up to ana about his past and it helped her understand more about chris
instead of being in the dark as she was in the first book and 2nd book.

I'm really shocked by the popularity of this series but especially this book. It is definitely the worst of the bunch. Poor character development, weak story line and dreadfully boring sex scenes. At least I can say I read all three?
