As a child Brian Jacques was my favorite author, Redwall is a good example of why. Using small creatures in a king aurthur type setting brings an interesting and, for lack of a better word, cool way to keep young readers interested. Plus the high level of moral leasons make Redwall and the entire Brian Jaques line a great choice for young children
