About the Author

James Lee Burke is the author of nineteen novels, including eleven starring the Detective Dave Robicheaux. Burke grew up on the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast, where he now lives with his wife, Pearl, and spends several months of the year in Montana.

I have read this book and was facisnated by the places he has been and lived. I know all these places and been there myself, but when you read this book or any of his other books, they are so much fun and it takes you back to places such as the South. I really liked his accent in the books for they are wild. He has a way with words.

This is the book that got me into reading anything by James Lee Burke. I would highly recommend it to the a first time reader of the series.
