Rain of Gold is an engrossing read that's full of tales both tall and true. Villaseñor has a way of getting to one's heart through the stories of his ancestors and the journey that leads to his parents meeting. The sequel, Thirteen Senses, is equally moving.

This book is a life changing experience...I grew from the knowledge i gained through the characters and i am who i am due to what lupe has taught me. Also salvador is the every women dreams of and well i could not stop thinking of either of them once i finished the novel.I ran to the library and pickED up THIRTEEN SENSES,AND I FINISHED IT TOO;now i am going to begin reading Wild steps of heaven. THANK YOU LUPE,SALVADOR AND VICTOR who are amazing and i grew to love your parents through these novels.
