Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Nirvana came out of nowhere in 1991 to sell  nearly five million copies of their landmark album  Nevermind, whose thunderous sound  and indelible melodies embodied all the confusion,  frustration, and passion of the emerging  Generation X. Come As You Are is the  close-up, intimate story of Nirvana — the  only book with exclusive in-depth  interviews with bandmembers Kurt Cobain, Krist Noveselic,  and Dave Grohl, as well as friends, relatives,  former bandmembers, and associates — now updated to  include a new final chapter detailing the last  year of Kurt Cobain's life, before his tragic suicide  in April 1994.

Incredible bio! Kurt Cobain actually sought out Michael Azzerad for this bio. It tells the story of not only Kurt Cobain but also the Dave Grohl and Krist Novaselic as well as all their previous drummers! It is a must read. I gurantee that you'll read more than once. It is AMAZING!
By the time you finish reading you'll understand who kurt cobain was and what he really represented. You'll understand Cobain's relationship with his fellow member and you'll be able to understand how Courtney love ruined it all. Kurt Cobain would still be here.

finally! a book that gives the history of not just frontman Kurt Cobain, but of Krist/Chris Novoselic [bass] and the several drummers that Nirvana has gone through! a brilliant rock bio that is perfect and a must read for any Nirvana fan!
