Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Cover

Synopses & Reviews

Synopsis:

Ever since Harry Potter had come home for the summer, the Dursleys had been so mean and hideous that all Harry wanted was to get back to the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. But just as he's packing his bags, Harry receives a warning from a strange, impish creature who says that if Harry returns to Hogwarts, disaster will strike.

And strike it does. For in Harry's second year at Hogwarts, fresh torments and horrors arise, including an outrageously stuck-up new professor and a spirit who haunts the girls' bathroom. But then the real trouble begins — someone is turning Hogwarts students to stone. Could it be Draco Malfoy, a more poisonous rival than ever? Could it possibly be Hagrid, whose mysterious past is finally told? Or could it be the one everyone at Hogwarts most suspects...Harry Potter himself!

Synopsis:

Home for the summer, all Harry wants is to get back to the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry soon receives a warning from a strange, impish creature who says that if Harry returns to Hogwarts, disaster will strike.

My absolute favorite of the series. It is full of adventure and mystery as well the first look at the true darkness of Lord Voldermort. I was rereading the series preparing for the upcoming movie and quickly realized why this was my favorite of the series. Even if you are not a Harry Potter fan this book is a must read.

I am a huge fan of Harry Potter books! They are amazing! I have all seven of them and some of the extra books J.K. Rowling has written to go with the Harry Potter series. I think J.K.Rowling shold write about Harry's later life after Hogwarts and everything else! I absolutely love these books and I think everybody should read them! You should seriously consider reading these books!

This is the second book in the WONDERFUL Harry Potter series.
I loved the first book, but the second was even better. By this book you really feel like you know the characters. Like you are with them at Hogwarts exploring the castle and fighting off Voldemort.
The last few chapters are amazing. Another MUST read!
(I must stress that if you've seen the movie and don't think you need to read the book because of it, you're wrong! So much better!).

Other books I recommend: Uglies series, Twilight series, and the Golden Compass series (I read this series when I was younger waiting for other Harry Potter books to come out, I loved it).
