He would sell his warrior soul to possess her....

An alluring laird....

He was known throughout the kingdom as Hawk, legendary predator of the battlefield and the boudoir. No woman could refuse his touch, but no woman ever stirred his heart — until a vengeful fairy tumbled Adrienne de Simone out of modern-day Seattle and into medieval Scotland. Captive in a century not her own, entirely too bold, too outspoken, she was an irresistible challenge to the sixteenth-century rogue. Coerced into a marriage with Hawk, Adrienne vowed to keep him at arm's length — but his sweet seduction played havoc with her resolve.

A prisoner in time...

She had a perfect "no" on her perfect lips for the notorious laird, but Hawk swore she would whisper his name with desire, begging for the passion he longed to ignite within her. Not even the barriers of time and space would keep him from winning her love. It needs to be said that I am not a fan of romance books. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have the same reaction to this as I have to other romance novels. I liked this one, Moning created such a beautiful world and Adrienne, was a strong woman who was very self sufficient.

The relationship was built of time, I didn't feel like it was soul mates at first sight type of story for the characters. The dialog was wonderful, yes there were a few lines that were cheesy, but it's a romance novel, so that is to be expected.

If you like romance novels, or even if you don't I would say give Moning's books a chance, take it from someone who isn't a fan of romance novels I really enjoy Moning's books.

This was a re read and I plan to re read all of her books so I can review them better.
