I had grown bored with reading, until I found this book. Anything and everything can be found here: conspiracies, drugs, sex, talking gorillas, dolphins with scuba gear, a yellow submarine, undead Nazi soldiers, rock 'n' roll, ritual magic, quantum theory, Mafia dons who collect Atlantean art?.Even after finishing it, I continued to carry it around with me for weeks, just opening to a page at random and reading. I then sought out everything I could find by Robert Anton Wilson and the myriad of sources he borrows from, but this is the starting place of my intellectual quest. Maybe it's because I found this book at just the right time in my life, but I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

It was a deadly mistake, Joseph Malik, editor of a radical magazine, had snooped into rumors about an ancient secret society that was still alive and kicking. Now his offices have been bombed, he's missing, and the case has landed in the lap of a tough, cynical, streetwise New York detective. Saul Goodman knows he's stumbled onto something big — but even he can't guess how far into the pinnacles of power this conspiracy of evil has penetrated.

Filled with sex and violence — in and out of time and space — the three books of The Illuminatus! Trilogy are only partly works of the imagination. They tackle all the cover-ups of our time — from who really shot the Kennedys to why there's a pyramid on a one-dollar bill — and suggest a mind-blowing truth.

Review:

"The biggest sci-fi cult novel to come along since Dune." The Village Voice

Review:

"An epic fantasy....A devilishly funny work, loaded with humor, puns, up-level ironies that make you burst out laughing." New Age Journal

An instant classic. A yellow submarine, Howard the talking dolphin, Haggbard Celine, and the Illuminati, and a host of characters from all dimensions, take you on a wild ride thru space, time, and mind.
