Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Seven hundred years ago, a Black Widow witch saw an ancient prophecy come to life in her web of dreams and visions. Now the Dark Realm readies itself for the arrival of its Queen, the Witch who will wield more power than even the High Lord of Hell himself. But the Queen is still young, still open to influence — and corruption.

Whoever controls the Queen controls the Darkness. Three men — sworn enemies — know this. And they know the power that hides behind the blue eyes of an innocent young girl. And so begins a ruthless game of politics and intrigue, magic and betrayal, where the weapons are hate and love — and the prize could be terrible beyond imagining.

Review:

"Lavishly sensual...a richly detailed world." Library Journal

"Mesmerizing...a fascinating, dark world...definitely worth checking out." Locus

"Anne Bishop is a terrific writer." Charles de Lint

A really great read. I read it on the beach over the summer and couldn't put it down. This is more than any magic that I have read about before. I recommend this series to all who enjoy entering a new world through the pages of a book. It's amazing!

I am loving these books. Just finished #1, Daugher of the Blood. They are exciting to read, characters are great and what wonderful stories!! Dark fantasy - epic fantasy at its best. The books take place in hell which is ruled by, of course, Seatan who has 2 sons - Daemon and Lucivar. There are also all varieties of witches. Check out Anne's books - she is a wonderful writer, the books are fast paced and exciting, real page turners. Check them out -
