Tolle points out one of the most valuable lessons in his previous book, "The Power of Now". But in this, he puts us all in check by teaching us how to remove the ego from our daily lives. Readers will quickly see how they are getting in their own way and how reactive others are based on ego. If you're looking to take a step back from the stress of life and see a bigger picture, "Awakening to Your Life's Purpose" is a winner!

This book is not a canned motivational speech, transcribed. And there are times that it is not a "feel good" book, either. If you are willing to take an honest look at yourself, both your real self and the one you play on TV, you can learn a great deal. Or you can keep operating unconsciously and stay where you are. Downright scary, at times, but well worth the time.

I have read this book at least three times now in under two years. Probably the most valuable book out there to help us see how the evolution of consciousness will be able to move forward. It is a true handbook for spiritual growth.
