Nora Roberts' books may not be literature;but when a writer has more than 300 million copies of her books in print she is doing something right! Black Hills set in the Black Hills of South Dakota is no exception. Roberts tells a tale well but more importantly she gives us insights into the locale and history of the area, and a all that is involved in caring for the wild in a refuge. Lil (Dr. Lillian Chance) and Coop (Cooper Sullivan) try to resume their broken love affair, but they have to devote a lot of time to a Psychopathic Hunter.

Roberts tells this tale with skill and perhaps the most important line in her story is, "Females were, in nearly every species, the fiercer hunter."
