Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

“This funny, fetching tale will bring chuckles—and a lesson—to any child with a tendency to echo Pinkertons cries of ‘Me first.” -Publishers Weekly

Pinkerton Pig will do anything to be first—first down the slide, first in line at the trough-a-teria, first on the bus. His pushy ploys backfire on a Pig Scouts hike when he hears the magic words “Would you care for a sandwich?” Little does he know, hes being tricked by a sandcastle-dwelling Sandwitch in need of care! How long will Pinkerton be doomed to powder her warty nose? This cheery look at the dangers of piggishness is now part of a fun, 8” x 8” hardcover series about life lessons.

Includes downloadable audio!

Synopsis:

In Me First, Pinkerton the pig learns that being first isn't always best--now part of a newseries featuring Helen Lester and Lynn Munsinger's quirky, fallible and lovable characters as they learn valuable life lessons

Synopsis:

Pinkerton always wants to be first. First in line, first on the Pig Scout bus, first for lunch . . . On his way to find a sandwich, he finds . . . a Sandwitch! While caring for this odd little creature, Pinkerton learns that being first is not as important as being kind.     Delightful and infused with humor, Lesters text and Munsingers illustrations will entertain and inform a wide audience. Included in each book is a note to parents and educators to help unpack the lessons in these stories. With a new smaller trim size, these books are an excellent value and a joy to read!
