Publisher Comments:

As soon as Anne Shirley arrived at the snug, & #160; & #160; white farmhouse called Green Gables, she knew she& #160; & #160; wanted to stay forever... but would the Cuthberts& #160; & #160; send her back to the orphanage? Anne knows she's not& #160; & #160; what they expected — a skinny girl with decidedly& #160; & #160; red hair and a temper to match. If only she could& #160; & #160; convince them to let her stay, she'd try very hard& #160; & #160; not to keep rushing headlong into scrapes or blurt& #160; & #160; out the very first thing she had to say. Anne was& #160; & #160; not like anybody else, everyone at Green Gables& #160; & #160; agreed; she was special — a girl with an enormous& #160; & #160; imagination. This orphan girl dreamed of the day& #160; & #160; when she could call herself Anne of Green Gables.

Review:

“Aficionados of the auburn-tressed waif will find Anne of Green Gables lavishly illustrated.”

The hilarious shenanigans of Anne will certainly make this your new favorite book. Or maybe it's Lucy Maud Montgomery's understanding of the human condition that's so appealing. At any rate, you will never be disappointed when you pick up a copy of the brilliant Anne of Green Gables.
