Now she was to be the prize in a tournament of eager knights. Holly had no intention of wedding any of them and concocted a plan to disguise her beauty. Yet she didn't reckon on Sir Austyn of Gavenmore. The darkly handsome Welshman was looking for a plain bride and Holly seemed to fit the bill. When he learned that he'd been tricked, it was too late. This was the first book I read by Teresa Medeiros and it won't be the last. This book showed it is true inner beauty that matters most, regardless of what one may look like.

Great story about how what we are looking for may be the opposite of what we really want. This love story tells of a man searching for an unattractive woman to marry so that he can prevent his family's curse from continuing. Instead he winds up married to the most beautiful woman in the country...only he doesn't know it because she has uglied herself up to prevent having to marry anyone...but that made her his perfect choice. This book is a great story about love and it's many forms.
