Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

To the forest on the shore of the Kingdom of the Isles, the orphan called Pug came to study with the master magician Kulgan. But though his courage won him a place at court and the heart of a lovely Princess, he was ill at ease with the normal ways of wizardry.<P>Yet Pug's strange sort of magic would one day change forever the fates of two worlds. For dark beings from another world had opened a rift in the fabric of spacetime to begin again the age-old battle between the forces of Order and Chaos.

Review:

Review:

"Most exciting ... a very worthy and absorbing addition to the fantasy field."
- Andre Norton

I was appehensive picking the book up at first. I'll admit, I may sometimes judge a book by it's cover. After having read through all of my other books, I finally came to rest at Magician Apprentice. I was very happily surprised. The first few pages had me hooked! I read through the book in about two days. (I have a 15 month old son, so that is an achievment for me. ) I thoroughly enjoyed every character and the scope of the novel. I loved it! ...Ordering book two of the Riftwater Saga---Now. =)
