This was an amazing book, I enjoyed every page of it. It is filled with very short chapters that read more like short memories. It didn't seem to be very organized, but I think that added to it in an odd way.
The book takes s through the authors memories while she was in a mental hospital. We get a rare inside look at how it was back then in the hospitals.
It is a truly beautiful and moving book. I wish it was longer that is really my only complaint about the book.

Straight forward account of a girl's stay in a mental institution. She places no blame or passes any judgements, just recalls the experience as she remembers it . In the end your left wondering whether she needed or even benefited from being placed there or if it was all the result of a doctor overreacting to symptoms that most teenagers at that time were going through.
