About the Author

Ian Falconer is the author and illustrator of all the titles in the bestselling Olivia series: Olivia, Olivia Saves the Circus, Olivia...and the Missing Toy, Olivia Forms a Band, Olivia Helps with Christmas, Olivia Goes to Venice, and Olivia and the Fairy Princesses. His illustrations have also graced many covers of The New Yorker. In addition, he has designed sets and costumes for the New York City Ballet, the San Francisco Opera, and the Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), among others. Mr. Falconer lives in New York City.

Wow! This book is so amazing! I always wanted to know about the hype that “Olivia” had received over the years and now I know why this book was so popular! Ian Falconer has done a brilliant job at both illustrating and writing this story about a young piglet who shows the audience about what it truly means to be hyperactive! I loved the way that Ian Falconer based this book on his real family life as he actually has an older sister named Olivia who loved doing many things and he is the younger brother in this book, which made this book extremely memorable.

I loved the Olivia series on TV and when I saw the books, I knew I had to get them for my daughter. Especially since I'd rather her be looking at books then the TV. I love The books because Olivia is such a relate-able little character. So fun, curious and cute. I would recommend these books to every parent out there!

my two year old son loves to read this book several times a day and by now can recite most of it, fun for parents and kids!
