Dark Hollow

by John Connolly

Dark Hollow Cover

Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Internationally acclaimed author John Connolly thrilled readers with his debut bestseller, Every Dead Thing. Now he gives a new name to fear with this atmospheric, spine-tingling page-turner.

Haunted by the murder of his wife and daughter, former New York police detective Charlie Parker retreats home to Scarborough, Maine, to rebuild his shattered life. But his return reawakens old ghosts, drawing him into the manhunt for the killer of yet another mother and child. The obvious suspect is the young woman's violent ex-husband. But there is another possibility — a mythical killer who lurks deep in the dark hollow of Parker's own past...

Review:

"[J]ust as grim, hard-edged and compulsively readable as [Connolly's] debut....[T]his very violent hunt for a revived serial killer can survive comparison with the best, especially when you consider that Connolly is creating pitch-perfect American dialogue and believable American characters from a desk in Dublin." Publishers Weekly

Review:

"Connolly's honest but brutal characterizations leave the reader with wounds that need stitching. Long, but a strong stride forward." Kirkus Reviews

Synopsis:

A masterful second novel from a young Irish writer whose storytelling skills have established him as the strongest new thriller writer since Thomas Harris. Building on the rich imagery, complex plotting, and remarkable characters of Every Dead Thing, Connolly has constructed a tale more menacing and memorable than the last.

Synopsis:

Haunted by the murders of his wife and daughter, former NYPD detective Charlie "Bird" Parker returns to his native Maine. But peace is elusive for Charlie as the killings of another mother and child put him on the trail of a murderer with connections deep in Charlie's own past and new evidence arises in the long-ago deaths of his father and grandfather.

That is one of the most interesting book from John Connolly. Its a book that when you start reading you dont want to put it down. You keep turning the pages and it keeps you wanting to read it again and again. I have read it again but I stil want to read it again because it is a great book. I have also read other books like the 'Killing Kind" but this one beats the rest. I woulld be very grateful if you gave the contents of the book using this address.
