About the Author

Denise Fleming has written and illustrated ten picture books, including The Everything Book, Mama Cat Has Three Kittens, and In the Small, Small Pond. Ms. Fleming creates her images by pulp printing. When Denise was a little girl, she loved Halloween beacause she was allowed to stay out after dark, could be anything she wanted to be, and she not only had permission to ask for candy, but to eat it, too.

Ms. Fleming lives in Toledo, Ohio with her husband, David Powers, with whom she often collaborates.
