Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

What would happen if Martha Stewart were abducted by a tribe of trailer park rabbis? Judaikitsch! Filled to the brim with crafts, collectibles, and creative cooking, heres the ultimate guide to a funky, festive Jewish lifestyle. From everyday kitsch to holiday entertaining-and loads of mishegoss in between-Judaikitsch asks the all-important question: Why eat sushi when theres Jewshi? Put away that mizrach and hang up the Miz-Rock. Host a Sukkot Luau featuring a Poi Vey Pineapple Mold, and celebrate Rosh Mexicana with a heaping helping of Hava Tequila Pie. Guaranteed to amuse, Judaikitsch encourages readers to don their Starlet of David Sunglasses, buckle their Borscht Belts, and enjoy a ride through a world where Elvis sports sidelocks and cats and dogs wear yarmulkes. At last, essential reading for the Divine Miss Martha in us all.

Synopsis:

A campy compendium of crafts, collectibles, and creative cooking, Judaikitsch: Tchotchkes, Schmattes, and Nosherei is your guide to a funky, festive Jewish lifestyle. With projects like the Patron Jew Votive Candles and the Hebrew School Handbag, delicacies like Jewshi and Hava Tequila Pie, and loads of mishegoss, it's a fun and easy way to connect to the Jewish tradition.

Synopsis:

The world is full of doodads, but Jewdads are few and far between. Judaikitsch aims to fill that void. Pop-culture meets how-to in over 50 projects and recipes that run the gamut from a Neil Tzedakah Box and a Hebrew School Handbag, to delicacies like Jewshi and Hava Tequila Pie, and loads of mishegoss in between. With plenty of technicolour photographs of bedazzling kitsch throughout, Judaikitsch shows you what might happen if Martha Stewart were abducted by a tribe of trailer park rabbis.

Synopsis:

A hilarous exploration of all things Jewish and kitsch.
