Oregon Coast: Portrait of a Place contains the stunning professional photography of Oregonian Rick Schafer. The ruggedly beautiful, endlessly fascinating 362 miles of the Oregon coast is one of the premier recreation destinations in North America. One of the most scenic and accessable coastlines on the Pacific Ocean; its bays, dunes, beaches, headlands, and coves along with harbors, small and resort towns are a tonic for the eye and soul.  From the northmost tip of land at Ft. Stevens State Park, the charm of the town of Canon Beach to huge sand dunes at the national recreation area the photos capture the variety and excitement of this coastline.
