Rorschachiana, Vol 28 (Yearbook of the International Rorscach Society)

Rorschachiana is the scientific publication of the International Society for the Rorschach. Its aim is to publish scientific work in the field for (and by) an international audience. Rorschachiana is interested in advancing theory and clinical applications of the Rorschach and other projective techniques, and research work that can enhance and promote projective methods. Published previously as a Yearbook, it is now appearing as a journal with 2 online issues per year and an annual print compendium. This print compendium can also be purchased individually. All papers published are subject to rigorous peer-review to internationally accepted standards by external reviewers and the Society's Board of Assessors, working under the auspices of the experienced international editorial team.

For clinicians, this annual publication brings together articles from two volumes of the journal (which is now being published online), on the Rorschach test by researchers in psychology. Nashat (Tavistock Clinic, UK) compiles six articles, a special session on forensic Rorschach assessment and projective methods, and a case study of the integrative process of personality assessment. Articles discuss the relationship between a self-report measure of interpersonal difficulties and the Rorschach, a comparison of Chinese painting and Rorschach's inkblots, the development of the test in Japan and the UK, the contributions of psychologist John E. In addition to other topics, the current volume under new editor Sadegh Nashat, a leading Rorschach expert from the renowned Tavistock Clinic in London, contains chapters on use of the Rorschach in relation to executive performance, in somatic illnesses, in mourning mothers, and in epilepsy. Rorschachiana is the official publication of the International Rorschach Society, now consisting of over 3,000 members throughout the world, which for half a century has played an important role in supporting the use of the instrument, as well as helping to develop extensive empirical research on its effectiveness in specific clinical situations.
