Nate goes to New York for the day to audition for a musical, his ultimate dream. The problem is he is only 12 and his parents don't know he is going. His best, and pretty much only, friend helps him sneak away. Once there he meets his aunt his mother never talks to and her roommate. His aunt helps him with his first part of the audition and then ends up supporting him as he gets callback after callback.
Nate's audition and the process he goes through is heartbreaking, hilarious and unpredictable. There are several moments in the story that are a bit hard to believe but that still doesn't make it any less enjoyable.
