Publisher Comments:

When the fearless Zoe breaks her arm in a fall, Anna must brave summer camp — and her debut as a Counselor In Training — without her best friend. Going it alone is not something Anna is ready for. Cruising along in Zoe's shadow had been comfortable, but now Anna is out in the full glare of the sun. There's no hiding from harsh truths and plenty of people to point them out. Take Karim, the swim instructor, who has suddenly turned gorgeous but obviously hates Anna. And Anna's new friend and cabinmate Isabel — rainbow hair, sharp tongue and no boundaries. Sooner or later Anna will have to face another hard truth: things have changed between her and Zoe and there's no going back into the shadows. But where can Anna hide when just being herself isn't nearly enough?

Synopsis:

In this novel by Gayle Friesen, by turns hilarious and touching, a summer at camp changes everything — and a young woman learns to be herself.

The Isabel Factor By:Gayle Friesen

For the many wonder of friendships, any person can affect your life. You wonder why the person intrugues you so much it draws you in more.
one person can affect many even your best friend.
Anna the main protaginast is going to camp in Kairos. She has been going there, for many years with her best friend Zoe. Recently Zoe broke her arm, and cannot go to camp with Anna. Anna who is tramatized still has to go. Back to Cabin7, where Anna see’s Jennifer the self-centered prep who only thinks about their rival Cabin 9, Chairmane, Ging. or the extras, and Isabel a quiet girl that intrugues Anna in a strange way.
Being a camp counsler in training, she teaches little kids how to swim with
an expert swimmer the “Hot” Karim. Anna is looked upon by her cabin to beat Arlene in the swim meet because Zoe is not there. There is a lot of pressure on Anna because Zoe is not there.
Isabel the quiet type is not afraid to speak her mind when it comes to the “truth.” She is not liked by many people espically her cabin. She is becoming closer with Anna as time passes. Soon Zoe comes back thinking she “needs” Zoe, but she really doesn’t. Anna and Isabel have been coming closer together, and Zoe is not liking it. Sooner or later Anna will have to face the real facts of life.
I reccommend this book to whomever likes an addicting novel, somewhat unique. READ THIS espically girls who can relate to it.
