Publisher Comments:

Drawing from her own family's experiences and from interaction with other parents, Whelchel offers creative solutions for parents desperate for new, proven approaches to discipline. In addition to advice on such topics as sibling conflict and lying, she offers a Biblical perspective and down-to-earth encouragement to parents feeling overwhelmed. A handy reference guide that provides ideas for specific situations.

This is a terrific book. I have quite a few books on parenting, but this one is easily my favorite. Lisa has this contagious excitement about parenting, and she takes it very seriously. I wont say I agree with everything in the book, but I think thats half the point. She gives so many different ideas that you can pick and choose, get your own ideas, and develop a parenting style that works best for you. I really love the way she incorperates scripture and teaches her kids the difference between God's ways and the worlds ways. Also, the set up of the book makes it easy to refer back to in any situation that arises. I definitely recommend this book.
