I recently got hooked on walking and wanted a bit more information on shoes, equipment, etc. This book is perfect. The author provides information on foods to eat, routes to choose and how to start walking slowly and build up your energy. Included are handy charts where you can enter your mileage each day and add up at the end of the week. It's amazing how motivational this is! If you have just started walking , are a long-time afficianado or are just thinking about it, you will find much information in this book.
