About the Author

Neil Gaiman is the author of the New York Times bestselling children's book Coraline and of the picture books The Wolves in the Walls and The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish, illustrated by Dave McKean. He wrote the script for the film MirrorMask and is also the author of critically acclaimed and award-winning novels and short stories for adults, as well as the Sandman series of graphic novels. Among his many awards are the World Fantasy Award, the Hugo Award, the Nebula Award, and the Bram Stoker Award. Originally from England, Gaiman now lives in the United States.

Sir Terence David John Pratchett, more commonly known as Terry Pratchett, is an English novelist, known for his frequently comical work in the fantasy genre. He is best known for his popular and long-running Discworld series of comic fantasy novels. He is currently the second most-read writer in the UK, and seventh most-read non-US author in the US. In 2001, he won the Carnegie Medal for his children's novel The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents.

How did I originally miss this book? How did it slip by me? Best type of humor, laugh out loud moments, hard to put down, all the things I love in a book.

If you want a book that will make you laugh out loud while excitedly turning its pages; if you want to read something that provides deep thought while still provoking a child-like sense of innocence; if you want a story weaved from the minds of two brilliant authors who have obviously never stopped letting their imagination take over, read this book.

With characters to fall in love with instantly, and enough twists in its plot to keep even the brightest interested, Good Omens pulls the reader in and grips them until the end. In the midst of the lighthearted hilarity, some heartwarming moments, and a few heart-racing ones as well, the intricate plot cleverly weaves itself together in ways impossible to predict.

It is highly recommended for lovers of adventure, fun, and laughing until your cheeks hurt. Fans of Terry Pratchett will not be disappointed; however, it is excellent as an introduction to his writing as well.

I’ve now read it three times and it is still one of my all time favorite books.

One of my favorite books. Gaiman and Pratchett are a great combination and have a good laugh at religion as a whole.
