Publisher Comments:

As everyone knows, nothing is sweeter than tiny baby fingers and chubby baby toes.... And here, from two of the most gifted picture-book creators of our time, is a celebration of baby fingers, baby toes, and the joy they — and the babies they belong to — bring to everyone, everywhere, all over the world!

This is a gorgeously simple picture book for very young children, and once you finish the rhythmic, rhyming text, all you'll want to do is go back to the beginning... and read it again! The luminous watercolor illustrations of these roly-poly little ones from a variety of backgrounds are adorable, quirky, and true to life, right down to the wrinkles, dimples, and pudges in their completely squishable arms, legs, and tummies.

Synopsis:

"There was one little baby / who was born far away. / And another who was born / on the very next day. / And both of these babies, / as everyone knows, / had ten little fingers / and ten little toes." No matter which part of the world a baby comes from — born on the ice or in a tent — that baby has “ten little fingers / and ten little toes,” the pleasing refrain of this wonderful, rhyming tribute to the chubby, sweet universality of babies of all colors. Helen Oxenbury’s soft, rounded babies are captured perfectly in soft, rounded watercolors.

Synopsis:

Gossie and Gertie are friends. Best friends. They splash in the rain, play hide-and-seek, and dive in the pond together. Everywhere Gossie goes, Gertie does too. Or does she?

I'm purchasing this book for my Great-Grand-Daughter; my Grand-Daughter; Alexis, is "due" to have this month(September).

The title says enough, for me to purchase the book.
This is going to be a great gift!

I always sang a song to Alexis & made it up as I held her & would play with her little finger's & toes... the song goes like this:

The Baby's got fingers, the Baby's got toes, ten little fingers & ten little toes, the Baby's got fingers & the Baby's got toes...
"Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes!"

She sang that song many years! I know she will sing it to her Daughter too!
I am thrilled to find this book, even made me cry tears of joy!
Alexis will also be thrilled to see the book with this Title!
Thank you!
