Just an excellent resource if you are looking for a book to guide you in the preparation of good, healthy, tasty food. Well written and well organized, it's a joy and pleasure to use. I've used the book for about a year and changing my cooking oils, using and implementing the recipes and cooking techniques, I've lost about 18 pounds and feel great. The key recipes & tips in the book for me are changing up my basic foods, using the suggested brands of grains and rice, changing my methods of cooking certain foods, making the homemade mayo & salad dressings; making the granola and the Extreme Wheat Free Muffins, among many others.

The authors make cooking and eating healthy, simple and enjoyable. The information in the book on diabetes, cholesterol and health issues is clear, concise and so easy to understand. I've given several books away as gifts and this has become my "go-to" reference every day cookbook.

I've read many books on food philosophy, cooking & diets and digested the info, made notes and given away or shelved. This book is kept on my kitchen counter and referenced daily.

Good Food Great Medicine is a winner. I've been using it for about a year. Along with an exercise program, it has been the key in dropping my waist from a 42 to a 38. The recipes are easy. Lots of Notes are helpful and offer variety in many of the recipes. The food does not taste like it should be healthy, it's much too good. The dips and sauces are unusually rich and tasty, I never knew that homemade mayo could be sooo good. It brings out a wonderful flavor in verything it's used in. Simple things like Pita Crisps, Quick Little Black Bean Chili and Tuna and Broccoli Pasta are fun to make but also so good. And the Whole Wheat and Honey loaf bread never cools off, it gets eaten too fast. All my other cookbooks are on the shelf and Good Food Great Medicine a Homemade Cookbook is now my main cooking guide.
