Synopses & Reviews

Shakespeare's sharp comedy about mistaken identities, false suspicions, and a very “merry war” between the lovers Beatrice and Benedick is presented in a gorgeous volume with paper-cut illustrations by Kevin Stanton and contextualizing essays and timelines by scholar Robert Miola.

One of my favourite Shakespeare plays. I've honestly read it more than 10 timespecially and I love it more and more.

I love examining the relationship between Benedick and Beatrice. Both are cynical, stubborn, and sarcastic. But they are truly just lonely. They enjoy tormenting each other, which is like two children making fun of their crushes.
