a look into the neanderthal, depressed, uncreative, unimaginative, unevolved mind of a douche-bag. this guy is purely self-centered with no ambition except for immediate self-gratification. it's sad, really, that this kind of garbage is put out there. there is nothing good or special about this read. i'm surprised it was even published, as his writing style is at the high school level, and an impoverished school at that.

I have become tired of men being portrayed as either jerks that don't care about women or as the caring "pure" boyfriend, husband, partner, etc. The reality is that good men will have the occasional perverted, if harmless, thoughts. Denying these thoughts is to deny interesting and funny aspects of people.

Although the main character in this books is somewhat of a jerk (as others have commented on) you can see how him being a jerk is somewhat situational (being in a bad relationship certainly propelled him to be more of a jerk). His actions are also often disgusting. Though I think the main character is an extreme version of the bad side of the male, I do think that the morally worst stories from several of my friend's lives could easily be combined to resemble a book similar in nature. With that being said, women do bad things to men and think bad things about men as well. Rather then blame an entire gender (as many have commented on for this book), ignore that these events are occurring (as is often portrayed in romantic movies), or try to "fix" these problems (as Dr. Phil or other TV shows do), sometimes it's just nice to laugh at the common idiosyncrasies of each gender. This book does just that - it tells a funny story that is an extreme example of the male and yet still relatable to an average male.

If you are female and want to see the "bad" side of the male then read this book. If your a male and are willing to admit to the occasional perverted thought then read this book. However, keep in mind that this is an extreme fictional example of all of the worst extreme "average" male behaviors. If you do, you will be rewarded with a hilarious read.
