L is for Listening when they turn out the light M is for Mother who tucks you in tight N is for the dark and starry Night Margaret Wise Brown and Esphyr Slobodkina teamed up over fifty years ago when Sleepy ABC was first published in 1953. The melodic, rhythmic text and soft patchwork-quilt motif combine to illustrate each letter of the alphabet, while gently lulling children to sleep. Now, after being out of print for over a decade, Sleepy ABC will be re-released for a new generation of picture-book readers to savor.
