Publisher Comments:

The 20th Anniversary Edition of the renowned classic and New York Times bestseller

Anger is something we feel. It exists for a reason and always deservesour respect and attention. We all have a right to everythingwe feel — and certainly our anger is no exception.

"Anger is a signal and one worth listening to," writes Dr. Harriet Lerner in her renowned classic that has transformed the lives of millions of readers. While anger deserves our attention and respect, women still learn to silence our anger, to deny it entirely, or to vent it in a way that leaves us feeling helpless and powerless. In this engaging and eminently wise book, Dr. Lerner teaches women and men to identify the true sources of anger and to use it as a powerful vehicle for creating lasting change.

Review:

"The Dance of Anger is a careful and compassionate exploration of women's anger. It will be extremely useful to almost every reader."(-- Susie Orbach)

Review:

"The Dance of Anger is such a helpful guide to understanding and reducing anger in close relationships...By showing how anger works to maintain the status quo as well as to change it, Dr. Lerner gives readers information they can use to manage anger wisely and well." (-- Carol Tavris, Ph.D., author of Anger:The Misunderstood Emotion)

Review:

"Of all the books that have been written about the personal relationships of women and what to do about them, this is the most sound. Like a family heirloom, it can he passed from generation to generation , as it is based on profound and lasting truths." (-- Peggy Papp. M.S.W., the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy )

This book is excellent. It gives everyone a new perspective on handling anger and a key to forgiveness for those who express it. Understanding what is behind one's anger is the key to happiness....the best book on this topic I have ever found.
