Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Nancy thinks butterflies are simply exquisite. And that is why she can't wait for her friend Bree's Butterfly Birthday. It's going to be the fanciest birthday party ever! But when Nancy finds out she can't go because her grandparents' fiftieth anniversary party is the same day, she is furious. (Mad is way too plain for how she feels.) Will Nancy be able to overcome her disappointment?

In this magical new story from bestselling duo Jane O'Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser, everybody's favorite fancy girl gets a surprise lesson in fancy from her grandparents. Looks like fancy runs in the family after all!

Synopsis:

The star of two #1 "New York Times" bestsellers is back in an all-new tale of frills, frou, and the fanciest of all things that flutter--butterflies. Full color.

If it's at all possible, I think I'm looking forward to this book almost more than our four year old. And she's looking forward to it thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much.

I sincerely hope that Jane and Robyn hold on to this phenomenon and keep producing these adorable, quirky, heart-warming books. (Why, yes, I am looking at you Lauren Child!)

Not only do the kids love the stories, but they are a joy to look at and have all their value in the right place. That all sounds so easy on paper, and yet, as a multitude of children's pictures books will attest, so hard to achieve.
