Publisher Comments:

Lex, a teenage Grim Reaper, has the power to Damn souls, and its getting out of control. Her boyfriend, Driggs, is dead . . . sort of. Shes a fugitive, on the run from the maniacal new mayor of Croak and the townspeople who want to see her pay the price for her misdeeds. Uncle Mort rounds up the Junior Grims to flee Croak once again, but this time theyre joined by Grotton, the most powerful Grim of all time. Their new mission is clear: Fix his mistakes, or the Afterlife will cease to exist, along with all the souls in it.

The gang heads for Necropolis, the labyrinth-like capital city of the Grimsphere. There, they discover that the Grimsphere needs a reboot. To do that, the portals to the Afterlife must be destroyed . . . but even that may not be enough to fix the damage. Things go from bad to worse, and when at last the fate of the Afterlife and all the souls of the Damned hang in the balance, it falls to Lex and her friends to make one final, impossible choice.

Synopsis:

Teenage delinquent Lex's parents ship her off to her uncle's house for the summer, where she discovers a surprising family business as a grim reaper and gets caught up in a mystery in the first installment of a morbidly hilarious new series.

Synopsis:

In the final installment of this morbidly funny trilogy about a teenage Grim Reaper that began with Croak, Lex and her friends learn that the Afterlife needs a reboot . . . and that will require one of the Grims to sacrifice their own life.

Synopsis:

In the second high-stakes installment in this morbidly funny series about a teenage grim reaper, Lex tries to track down a renegade grim who is indiscriminately damning souls. But how can Lex be a hero when the so many of her fellow Grims have turned against her for her own misdeeds?

Synopsis:

Sixteen-year-old Lex Bartleby is a teenage grim reaper with the bizarre ability to Damn souls. That makes her pretty scary, even to fellow Grims. But after inadvertently transferring her ability to Zara, a murderous outlaw, Lex is a pariah in Croak, the little town she calls home. To escape the townspeoples wrath, she and her friends embark on a wild road trip to DeMyse. Though this sparkling desert oasis is full of luxuries and amusements, it feels like a prison to Lex. Her best chance at escape would be to stop Zara once and for all—but how can she do that from DeMyse, where the Grims seem mysteriously oblivious to Zaras killing spree?

Synopsis:

Fed up with her wild behavior, sixteen-year-old Lexs parents ship her off to upstate New York to live with her Uncle Mort for the summer, hoping that a few months of dirty farm work will whip her back into shape. But Uncle Morts true occupation is much dirtier than shoveling manure. Hes a Grim Reaper. And hes going to teach Lex the family business.

She quickly assimilates into the peculiar world of Croak, a town populated by reapers who deliver souls from this life to the next. But Lex cant stop her desire for justice—or is it vengeance?—whenever she encounters a murder victim, craving to stop the attackers before they can strike again. Will she ditch Croak and go rogue with her reaper skills?

One of the best young adult novels I've read in awhile! The heroine of this story is akin to Elle Woods from Legally Blonde. She might be out doing sometimes dangerous work rounding up violent paranormals but she's still an average teen girl at heart: obsessed with all things pink and shiny, and CAN'T miss an episode of her favorite high school teen show on TV. Even though its a pretty quick read, the characters are fun and creative, the plot takes interesting turns, and the story moves along at a good pace. Great book!

Book is absolutely awesome!! It's captivating and it keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time, reading and trying to figure out just what will happen next. There's no way to put this book down! It's absolutely mesmerizing and it's sad to know the series is now at it's end already.
