When I "read" this book to my babies, I saw their eyes following the purple line. It's still my favorite and occupies a prized place in my collection.

Draw up a chair and experience the reality created, sometimes consciously and sometimes not, by Harold using his purple crayon. Harold can intentionally depict what he needs or wants, but he can also accidently sketch a scary world. His ability to transform the troublesome into the tranquil is both inspiring (and, inspired) and remarkably satisfying.

A wonderful and unique story that every child will love and remember for years to come. A true classic that doesn't need many words to show introduce children to reading and a love for books.
