A little bit of English history, now I know who William the Conqueror was and where he came from. A very readable book, I finished it in a night or two.

Unless your really into English history or the history of warfare this is a hard read. It isn't that long so that makes it a little easier. All in all it does give you a pretty good handle on the events of 1066 as well as a feel for the life of peasants and how affected them.
