Synopsis:

After being transported by a cyclone to the land of Oz, Dorothy and her dog are befriended by a scarecrow, a tin man, and a cowardly lion, who accompany her to the Emerald City to look for a wizard who can help Dorothy return home to Kansas.

About the Author

Lyman (L.) Frank Baum wrote his first children's book, Mother Goose in Prose, in 1897, but is best known for The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900) and its thirteen sequels.

Cornelia Funke has written more than forty books, including the highly acclaimed Inkheart, Inkspell, the Dragon Rider series, and The Thief Lord, winner of the Mildred L. Batchelder Award.
